What is the difference between a 'Personal Account' and 'Accounts I Can Access'?

Under My Accounts > Profile > Edit Account Nicknames and Links, you will see two sections labeled 'Personal Accounts' and 'Accounts I Can Access'.

  • Personal Accounts were automatically linked to your User ID when you applied for a Firstrade account. You have full access to all features of these accounts since they belong to you. 
  • Accounts I Can Access are accounts that other Firstrade users have given you permission to access. You may have limited access to these accounts depending on the privileges assigned to you by the account owner.

If a 'I Can Access' account belongs to you and you would like to change it to a Personal Account, please contact us for further assistance.
